Edgewater's CEO Shirley Singleton Delivers Endicott College Commencement

Beverly, MA - May 17, 2008: Endicott College held its sixty-eighth commencement exercises on Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 am at the Stadium, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly, MA.

Shirley L. Singleton was the commencement speaker and recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. She is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Edgewater Technology, Inc., a company that specializes in innovative technology management consulting. In 1992 Shirley co-founded the company and served as its president through 2002, at which time she was named the President and CEO. Under her direction Edgewater Technology has grown from a privately-held, five-person office into a national, publicly-traded firm with more than 320 professional staff. Prior to co-founding Edgewater Technology, she held various management positions at Logica North America.

Active in the community, Ms. Singleton serves on numerous boards including: the Edgewater-Wakefield Memorial Foundation, the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, the Massachusetts Taxpayer's Association, Advisory Board for the Boston Club, and the Essex Conservation Commission.

She has been presented with numerous awards and recognitions such as: MAGIC 106.7FM's Exceptional Women Award in 2006, New England Women's Leadership Award in 2006, Boston Magazine's Top 100 Powerful Women for 2003, New England Business and Technology Association Exceptional Leadership Award in 2003, and Top 100 Woman -Led Businesses in Massachusetts from 2002-2005.

Ms. Singleton's speech will focus on "Transitions and Life Changing Events." She will share with the graduates the events that caused dramatic changes in her career and life.

A graduate of Northeastern University, she resides in Essex.
