Edgewater gives back

Since its inception in 1992, Edgewater has had a proud legacy of giving back. In addition to contributing to a variety of local and regional charitable organizations, we remain dedicated to supporting those efforts that promote new ideas through the use of technology by providing our expertise.

American Cancer Society

A nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization. Edgewater participates in many events of ACS's Annual Events.

American Lung Association of Arkansas

The American Lung Association of Arkansas is a volunteer organization working to promote lung health, keep individuals from smoking and help patients with asthma, especially children

The American Red Cross

The American Red Cross helps keep people safe every day as well as in an emergency thanks to caring people who support our work in the community. Edgewater employees, along with a match contribution from Edgewater, contributed nearly $25,000 to support those who were affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Angel Flight

Angel Flight NE is a non-profit organization that provides air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots so children and adults may access life saving medical care throughout the United States completely free of charge.

Edgewater adopted Angel Flight as its charity in 2001, when our team of IT professionals developed a web-based mission coordination system for Angel Flight. The system  automates the matching of willing pilots to flight schedules - an arduous process formerly done manually by telephone, fax or e-mail. This system drove the mobilization of more than 100 volunteer pilots in about two hours in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

Craig Wood Scholarship Foundation

The Craig Wood Scholarship Foundation was established in 2001 in memory of Craig Wood, a former employee of Edgewater who lost his life on December 26, 2000 along with six other vibrant Edgewater employees during a workplace violence incident. In memory of Craig, the Annual Craig Wood Classic golf event was established to raise funds for a Merrimack College endowment scholarship for the benefit students with financial needs.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Edgewater has been a committed sponsor of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Annual Light The Night® Walk. Light The Night is The Society's nationwide evening walk to commemorate lives touched by cancer and to raise awareness of blood cancers.

In addition to these organizations, Edgewater  has been actively involved in community events and organizations that surround not only its headquarters in Wakefield, MA, but also in the communities our employees live in:
